J-rock North Promotions Inc. has been actively promoting Japanese music in Toronto since its birth in 2005. Our aim is to bring together local artists and musicians, as well as foreign artists and musicians, to promote Japanese music in Canada as well as across North America. We also actively support bands in the indie music scene (including oshare and visual kei, electronica and more) who are seeking to broaden their exposure in North America. Overall, we strive to bridge the gap between the artists and the Japanese music fan community, in order to emphasize the value of cultural diversity and communication. JNP bridges that gap in several ways: by organizing concerts, both large-scale stage shows as well as small-scale intimate lives; interactive meet-and-greet sessions between the artists and their fans; as well as community events (eg. conventions, dances, parties, movie screenings, etc.) that encourage fans, especially local youth, to come together and celebrate their interests and their diversity. The majority of our events are based in Toronto and the surrounding communities, where there is a need for more activities for fans to explore this unique subculture in a safe and positive environment. Given that, our overriding objective is to provide leadership and positive vision to people who attend our events. One of our core principles is to raise awareness of and gather support for those who are less fortunate, by incorporating charity fundraising into all of our events. We support smaller local charities and encourage all who attend our events to do the same. We also encourage youth to volunteer at our events, where they can develop their leadership and interpersonal skills. We believe that entertainment should also have a social conscience. JNP is committed to excellence in the planning and execution of all our events,and so we can also offer our services as an independent consulting group to assist other organizations and individuals in organizing such events. Our experience as well as our passion for Japanese music and pop culture has provided us with essential skills and tools that would be beneficial to those interested in this variety of cultural programming. J-rock North Promotions Inc. はトロントにおける日本の曲の輸入者として２００５年の結成から活発に活動しています。 JNPはローカルアーティスト達や音楽の才能達、共に海外のアーティスト達やミュージシャンを集めることが狙いです。日本の音楽をカナダ、そして北アメリカ全体に広めることが目標です。大勢の組織にコンサート、 ツアー、CDのリリースのマネージメントなどをし、数々の日本のアーティストや小規模の組織にコンサルタントとして協力しました。 また、JNPはインディーミュージックにおけるバンド（おしゃれ、ヴィジュアル系、エレクトロニア等等）の支援を、ライブやコンサートの企画進行や、北アメリカ におけるメディアを使い宣伝をしたりなどします。私達の目標は日本の音楽のファンと、彼らが求めるバンドを繋げることです。コンサートだけでなく、コミュニティーのイベントなどで日本のアーティスト達をハイライトし、 知名度をあげる事なども目標のひとつです。 JNPはエンターテイメントと多文化計画における重要な要素になれるよう、コンサートやダンス、ファンドレイジング、パーティーやコンベンションの企画と運営 を通して目指しています。また、私達はトロント都市中心から周りのコミュニティーのさらなる多文化化の支援を、ポピュラーなトレンドの文化的探査と紹介をフォーカスとしたイベントの企画と運営、そして私達の イベント参加者達にリーダーシップと明るいヴィジョンの提供等を通して励んでいます。 JNPの主要信条は、恵まれていない人達のために援助資金の集金をし、彼らについての認知度と知識を上げる事にあります。また、私達の主催する ファンドレイジングを目的とした大規模のイベントで利益を得られる小規模のローカルチャリティー等を私達はサポートします。 |
